myForte, a student-led music initiative, in collaboration with KTJ Interact Club and Crimson Club, proudly presents a charity concert in support of Shekinah Care Centre. The event aims to raise funds towards the purchase of a school bus for underprivileged and orphaned children, helping improve their access to education and opportunities.
To Wish Upon a Lullaby
This year's concert, "To Wish Upon a Lullaby," takes inspiration from the beloved Disney phrase, "When you wish upon a star, your dreams come true." Through music and storytelling, the performance explores the childhood dreams we once held dear, the realities that led us to set them aside, and the rediscovery of those passions during our time at KTJ.
The concert reflects on how dreams never truly disappear. Instead, they remain a part of us, waiting to be remembered and embraced once again. Through a carefully curated musical journey, we hope to share this story of hope, nostalgia, and self-discovery with our audience.
Supporting a Meaningful Cause
At the heart of this concert is our desire to help the children of Shekinah Care Centre pursue their own dreams.
Education is often the first step towards a brighter future. By helping fund a school bus, we aim to bridge the transportation gap between the centre and nearby schools, providing children with greater access to learning opportunities and experiences that can transform their lives.
As students, we recognise the privileges we enjoy and believe in giving back to the communities around us. Shekinah Care Centre still requires approximately RM19,000 to achieve its school bus fundraising goal. Through previous initiatives, including bake sales and community events, KTJ has already contributed around RM3,000, and we hope this concert will bring the centre one step closer to its target.
Join us on 26 September for an evening filled with music, laughter, nostalgia, and heartfelt moments. Whether you are looking to enjoy a memorable performance or support a worthwhile cause, we would be honoured to have you with us.
