1. Which year did you join KTJ, and when did you graduate from KTJ?
1992 to 1995
2. Which house were you in?
Nadzaruddin
3. What do you remember most about KTJ?
I enjoyed KTJ immensely, the friendships I made, and the camaraderie we built—those bonds are still going strong today. There’s so much I remember about my time there that there’s probably not enough space here to talk about it! But if I had to sum it up? It was one of the happiest times of my life, filled with laughter, mischief, and memories that still make me smile.
4. Tell us about your educational journey after KTJ.
After KTJ I went to Harrow School UK to do my A’ Levels, then went to University College London (UCL) to study Egyptian Archaeology! In 2015, after working in the advertising industry for almost 10 years, I did my MBA in Entrepreneurship at the University of Nottingham, Malaysia Campus.
5. If you had to go back and relive your high school(KTJ) experience all over again, what would you change and why?
I think I would have done more extracurricular activities and more trips. I remember there was an exchange trip to Russia that I missed out on. I thoroughly enjoyed drama and would have probably gone for more auditions and parts.
Looking back, I realize how valuable those experiences are—they don’t come around often, so it’s important to make the most of them while you can.
5. What do you do now (work).
I’m now a business Director at Mogul Works Asia, a boutique marketing and upskilling agency that I run alongside a fellow KTJ alumnus. On the marketing side, we primarily work with SMEs, though we’ve also had the opportunity to collaborate with major brands and corporations. Our upskilling division serves a diverse range of clients, from government-linked companies to multinational corporations. It’s been an exciting journey, combining creativity with strategy to help businesses grow while also empowering their talent through skill development.
6. What did you learn most applicable (proper, most vital) to your current position?
KTJ’s holistic approach to education had a huge impact on me, even back then. It taught me that while academics and good grades matter, real growth comes from stepping outside the classroom—whether it’s through drama, sports, or even Astronomy! These experiences shape you into a well-rounded individual, and that’s something I carry with me today. As a business director in marketing, I work with companies across different industries, each with its own challenges and dynamics. Being adaptable, open-minded, and willing to learn from different fields is key—and that’s exactly what KTJ instilled in me.
