KTJ Welcomes Alumni Fariz Abdul Aziz and Pheng Chew Tan for Inaugural Law Symposium and Workshop
It was a momentous occasion at Kolej Tuanku Ja'afar (KTJ) as we were delighted to welcome back two distinguished alumni, Fariz Abdul Aziz and Pheng Chew Tan, to take part in the inaugural Law Symposium and Workshop. The event brought together aspiring law students from various schools, colleges, and universities, offering them an invaluable opportunity to engage with professionals in the field.
Fariz Abdul Aziz, a KTJ alumnus, was part of the panel that tackled the thought-provoking topic, "Why Should Ethics Matter in Law?" The session delved into the complexities of legal ethics, sparking insightful discussions on how ethical considerations should play a central role in legal practices and decision-making.
Pheng Chew Tan hosted a workshop helping students through thought provoking questions such as "To what extent does the legalisation of euthansia undermine the sancity of life principle?' and "Should individuals with criminal charges be disallowed from running for public office?"
Events like this are so important to inspire the next generation, and our students are always so inspised by the students that preceeded them at KTJ.
Please get in touch if you would like to contribute to developing and inspiring our current students in some way.
