KTJ Alumni Return to Inspire at Three Signature Events

KTJ was honoured to welcome back distinguished alumni for three special events, as former students returned to campus to share their expertise, talents and journeys with the next generation.

Economics in the Age of Fintech: Innovation, Transparency, and Opportunity

KTJ proudly hosted the KTJ Economics & Finance Symposium and Workshop 2026, centred on the timely theme, “Economics in the Age of Fintech: Innovation, Transparency, and Opportunity.”

Spearheaded by Upper Sixth student Aneesha and supported by a dedicated team of student volunteers, the symposium brought together leading industry voices to explore the rapidly evolving financial landscape.

The programme featured a lively and thought-provoking panel discussion with KTJ alumni Bryan Chung Yew Pong (Director, True Vine Capital Partners) and Munirah Khairuddin (CEO & Head, Principal Asset Management Berhad & MD, Strategic Distribution and Institutional Clients). The panelists offered valuable insights into fintech innovation, regulatory transparency, and emerging opportunities in global markets, while encouraging students to think critically about the ethical and societal implications of technological disruption.

The symposium continued with interactive workshops led by two more distinguished alumni. Raja Mohammad Shahadan (Chief Financial Officer, INCEIF University) delivered an engaging session titled “The Dark Side of Fintech" exploring the risks and governance challenges behind digital finance. Meanwhile, Raja Muhammad Harith (Analyst, Central Bank of Malaysia) led a forward-looking workshop on “AI in Finance Today,” highlighting how artificial intelligence is reshaping decision-making in financial institutions.

The school extends its heartfelt thanks to all panelists and facilitators for generously sharing their expertise and inspiring future economists, analysts and entrepreneurs.

A Musical Homecoming: String Ensemble Masterclass with Lim Zhi Hsuan (Class of 2019)

KTJ was delighted to begin the month with an inspiring visit from Lim Zhi Hsuan (Class of 2019). As part of the KTJ Music Fiesta Day, she returned to conduct an engaging violin masterclass for our string students, offering both technical guidance and artistic insight.

A distinguished graduate of the Royal College of Music, London, where she completed her Master of Music in Performance with Distinction, Zhi Hsuan shared invaluable advice on preparing for conservatoire auditions. Drawing from her own journey, she spoke candidly about discipline, resilience and the pursuit of excellence in a competitive musical landscape.

Her visit was a proud and meaningful homecoming that left students energised, motivated and inspired to aim high in their own musical paths.

Lunadira Returns for MADE! 2026

On 6 February, KTJ welcomed back Lunadira (Nadira Mohammad Diah – Class of 2013), who lit up the stage at the annual Make A Difference Evening (MADE!).

A rising Malaysian singer-songwriter, Lunadira has made waves both locally and internationally. In 2023, she became the first Malaysian artist to be featured on the renowned German music platform COLORS, cementing her reputation as one of Malaysia’s most exciting contemporary voices.

Her appearance at MADE! was more than a performance; it was an inspiring celebration of creativity, courage and authenticity. Through her music and message, she encouraged students to pursue their passions boldly and embrace their unique artistic identities.

These three remarkable homecomings exemplify the enduring bond between KTJ and its alumni. Whether shaping global finance, performing on world-class stages or redefining contemporary music, our alumni continue to inspire — and their return to campus reminds our students that their own journeys are only just beginning.
