Who would have thought this Negeri Sembilan born and raised would end up in an Ivy League? It's been 15 months since I received the admission offer to enrol at The University of Pennsylvania for Fall 2023, yet I'm still in disbelief!
I decided to apply for both UK and US universities, nearing the end of my A Levels at KTJ. Alhamduillah, I was beyond lucky and blessed to receive my first admission offer from my dream school, UPenn, under the early admissions pool to read Economics and Psychology in the College of Arts and Sciences.
Moving abroad for the first time was nerve-racking and exciting at the same time. However, the last 7 months here at UPenn have been filled with the most exciting new adventures and opportunities. As an event planning enthusiast, I've recently been appointed as one of the subchairs for Spring Fling Daytime 2024, the ultimate annual student festival at UPenn, attracting crowds of up to 10,000 students.
Being a nature person, I was fortunate enough to tick off the famous National Parks, like Yosemite, Zion and the Great Smoky Mountains where I hiked, camped, and witnessed my first ever snow! It felt like a dream.
I'm slowly getting accustomed to my life here at UPenn as I'm completing my Freshman Year in May 2024. Looking forward to what Penn has in store for me for the next 3 years!
